Community Services
The EGSC serves the State College local community each year. In the 2016-2017 academic year, we have participated in the following events: Think Outside the Beaker, Haunted-U, and Homecoming. In addition, EGSC sponsor multiple blood drives throughout the year.
2.1 Think Outside the Beaker (TOTB)
The TOTB is an opportunity to communicate science to middle school students, let them learn about STEM through fun scientific activities, and inspire the young generation’s interest in science.
2.2 Homecoming
Homecoming is the PSU tradition in which student organizations walk in the parade to show their pride as part of PSU.
2.3 Blood Drive
The EGSC hosts multiple blood drives throughout the year.
On Nov 4th 2016, we have successfully collected 55 units!
On Jan 19th, 2017, we have successfully collected 62 units!
Thank you for those that are committed to blood donation!
2.4 Exploration U
Exploration U is a science exhibition event in which families and children come to learn about STEM. In Fall 2016, EGSC exhibited a project named as ‘Bubbleology’: explain surface tension using bubbles.
